Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Code LE-KE06

Kwan Yin 'Goddess of Mercy" The one who hears the cries of the world. Kwan Yin is a bodhisattva who is full realized, choosing to stay on earth to assist others in their enlightenment. Her virtues are Compassion, Modesty, Courage, Justice and Wisdom. The goddess is the Chinese Character of happiness, good fortune and prosperity. In China, Kwan Yin is not only the Goddess of Mercy, she is also the Protectress of Children. She is usually shown with a Lotus (purity and divine birth), holding a vase which contains the necar of her compassion.
