illness than non pet owners. The bonding with pets exhibit itself
in many ways and one of the most common is by cross stitching.

lovers: British Shorthair, Abyssinian, Siamese and Pixie Bob,
Tibetan Mastiff, Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier and Basset Hound. We
hope you enjoy cross stitching! Here are your pals’ profiles:
British
Shorthair
Probably
the oldest English breed of cat, traces its ancestry back to the
domestic cat of Rome. This breed was first prized for its physical
strength and hunting ability, but soon become equally recognized
and valued for its calm demeanor, endurance and loyalty to man.
It is a delight to own. British Shorthair is intelligent, affectionate
and not temperamental. They tolerate children, dogs, and other
breeds of cats.
Abyssinian
This
breed is one of the oldest natural breeds. It is thought to have
originated in Egypt or abyssinai (Ethiopia), and bears a striking
resemblance to the cats worshipped, painted and sculpted by the
Ancient Egyptians. Spirited and inquisitive, the Aby seems to
be in constant motion, a personality trait sometimes at odds with
small apartment living. They are gentle and affectionate to humans
and make ideal companions.
Siamese
Although
there have been many theories about the origin of the Siamese.
It is now quite certain that it was a well-loved variety in the
ancient Siamese city of Ayudhaya. The breed is definitely garrulous,
openly affectionate, often vocal and highly intelligent. A dynamic,
high-energy cat requires owners who are prepared to give and receive
a lifetime of devotion.
Pixie
Bob
Legend has it that the large, brown-spotted Tabby with the big
feet, bobbed tail, wild look and gentle personality can trace
its ancestry back to a cross between a wild North American and
a domestic barn cat. Despite its possibly wild heritage, this
breed is a truly domesticated cat. Loyal, trustworthy, gentle,
affectionate and almost ‘dog-like’, Pixie Bobs thrive on human
attention and prefer the comforts of home to the call of the wild.
Tibetan Mastiff
A
large guardian breed of dog from the Himalayas, bred to guard
monasteries, villages, nomadic, camps and livestock herds, it
is predominately territorial and loyal to family. Personality
will differ from dog to dog but generally they are a strong-willed,
courageous and highly intelligent animal. The natural instinctive
ability makes Tibetan Mastiff an excellent home protector.
Poodle
The
national dog of France, this breed originally was water dog used
for retrieving and their conformation, texture and pattern of
their coats to this day reflect the purposes for which they were
bred. Poodle is an active, intelligent, nerve, elegant and easily
trained. A poodle is a ‘person’ and he expects to be treated as
one. Each one is a character and for that reason they make wonderful
companions.
Yorkshire Terrier
The
earliest record of Yorkshire Terrier born in the United States
dates to 1872. Today’s Yorkshire Terrier is different from the
early period. There are varying accounts of the origins of this
breed and its development. This breed is an independent dog but
devoted companion. Despite his small size he is more than willing
to act as a guardian for his master
Basset Hound
Descended
from the old St. Hubert hounds, the Basset Hound was bred hunting
small game such as pheasant and rabbit. The breed is one of the
best dogs available for a family to love. They are extremely tolerant,
very gentle, sweet, loyal and affectionate breed, although they
are quite stubborn at times but they love everyone in the family
equally.
From
familiar words saying that cats are tiny women and dogs are tiny
men in little fur coats, either you are cats or dogs lovers, you
and your pets are sure to have fun with these PINN projects.
